In this article, we’ll cover you everything you need to know about GhostBed company policies, pricing and how to save money on these bed-in-a-box mattresses.
GhostBed offers four different mattresses – the Original, Luxe, Flex and 3D Matrix. The beds differ in terms of construction, feel and firmness. You can learn more in our full GhostBed mattress review.
The GhostBed mattresses are shipped to your home for free rolled up and compressed in a box. It’s recommended that you let your bed decompress for up to 72 hours after unwrapping and setting it up. Residents of the 48 continental United States get free shipping. Shipping to Hawaii and Alaska is $600 for freight. International shipping is currently unavailable.
GhostBed mattresses come with a 101-night risk-free trial period. If you decide that you don’t like your bed during that time, GhostBed will only process your return if you’ve had it for 30 days. After those 30 days, just call the company and they will remove the mattress free of charge and issue a full refund. If you purchase your new bed through Amazon, be sure to read their policies on trial periods and returns because they can differ sometimes.
GhostBed beats the online mattress industry 10-year standard by doubling it. Their 20-year warranty protects your bed against indentations that are greater than one inch, physical flaws in the mattress that could cause splitting or cracking, and manufacturing defects in the cover. The warranty doesn’t cover normal increased softness of the foam or physical abuse to the bed. Also, in years 11-20 of ownership, the company will repair or replace the mattress if defects are found but the owner of the mattress is on the hook for the transportation costs. Please note the 20 year warranty applies to the Original GhostBed mattress. The other three models they offer come with a 25 year warranty.
The MSRP for the Original GhostBed is about average for the online mattress-in-a-box industry.
The GhostBed Luxe, on the other hand, ranges from around $1,200 for a twin to $1,900 for a king. The Flex goes for about $1,000 to $1,800 for the same sizes. Finally, the 3D Matrix is more expensive ranging from around $1,600 (twin XL) to $2,800 (king).
The GhostBed mattresses are made in the USA.
The size of the Original GhostBed varies in width and length depending on the model you buy. The thickness of each bed measures the same. The dimensions below are shown in inches.

Twin XL Mattress: 38 x 80 x 11 (45 lb)
