Intro To Bundle And Their Policies

Bundle Living is a newcomer in the industry who stepped onto the home goods scene to compete with the likes of Burrow, Article, Joybird, and Rivet from Amazon.

We’ve covered countless bed-in-a-box mattresses and we can’t get enough of them (we literally have a room overflowing with them), so you can imagine our excitement when we started seeing companies, such as Bundle, take the same approach with other large pieces of furniture.

If you decide to purchase the Bundle Sofa, it’ll come with free shipping and free returns. One great thing about Bundle too, is that they offer a 60-day free trial period so you can determine if you actually like the couch before you commit to buying it. It’s a perk you probably won’t get from many brick-and-mortar furniture stores.

If you decide you want to keep your sofa, you’ll actually get a “forever warranty”, which is something you don’t see very often in any industry, let alone with furniture. If you want to find out more about your coverage, head over to their website and take a look at the FAQ page.

The Set Up Process For Bundle

As we said earlier, your Bundle Sofa will come in a box and it should arrive to your home in about 2-5 business days after shipment. Ours came in three boxes, so we imagine yours will too; one for the arms, one for the foundation, and one for the cushions.

There is a helpful set up video on Bundle’s website, but naturally, they are going to try and make the process look as easy as humanly possible. And we aren’t saying it was difficult, but there was one place during set-up (that isn’t shown in the website’s video) where we had a little trouble.

The sofa comes laying flat, and you have to lift the backrest up yourself before you put the cushions on. When we were trying to put it up, it was slightly difficult and at one point we thought we were going to break it. But alas, after a few moments of struggle, we heard the satisfying “click” sound indicating it was in place.

It was pretty much smooth sailing other than that small hiccup, and the whole process took about 15 minutes at the most with two people. If you’re riding solo during set up it might take a little longer, but it’s definitely still doable.

Bundle Design And Specs

Overall, we really enjoy the design of the Bundle sofa because it’s really simplistic and seemingly matches any home decor, from rustic barn-house to bohemian chic. It has more of a modern and contemporary style, but you can easily design it to compliment your space due to its range of colors and customization options.  It actually reminds us of the Burrow couch a little, as far as design goes.

Bundle Sofa Review
The Bundle Sofa in the dark grey option

We think one drawback about Bundle’s sofa design is the backrest. It’s separated in two different pieces, and they feel a little flimsy. It was way too easy for us to move the two pieces back and forth, similar to the way you move the handles on an elliptical. So it’s not exactly the sturdiest sofa we’ve ever seen. It’s not a huge deal if place the sofa against a wall, but keep it in mind in case you have any large animals or a wild child who likes to climb on top of everything.

We don’t love the split design to the backrest

The colors come in light grey, indigo blue, beige, and dark grey. You can also choose if you want three or two cushions, straight or curved armrests, and the shape of the sofa’s hardwood legs. Currently, Bundle comes in one standard size which is 79 W x 36” D x 26” H. You can look at the more specific dimensions on Bundle’s website where they go into detail about its seat depth, the distance between the arms, etc.

Inside the cushions you can find fiber filled bags and open-cell polyurethane foam, which is a fancy mattress term for neutral-foam.

Their sofa is upholstered with Dacron fiber, a “performance fabric” which they market as stain and spill resistant. We usually take claims like that with a grain of salt, because it probably won’t be nine times out of ten. So to test out Bundle’s claim, we took a glass of water and poured it over the edge of the sofa down the arm chair. Instead of soaking into the fibers, the water slid right off and directly onto the floor like it would on a solid surface.

Since it passed the water test with flying colors, we wanted to step it up a notch and see how the fabric held up against half a bottle of red Gatorade. We figured if it could take several ounces of bright red liquid, it would be able to handle any spill. We were pretty impressed to see the exact same result, and the fabric was barely damp afterwards.

So we think Bundle is perfect for folks with kids, messy animals, or anyone who eats meals on their couch (which let’s face it, that’s probably at least a third of America’s population). We think the Bundle Sofa really stands out from other cloth couches on the market because of this feature, and it’s probably our favorite thing about this sofa.

Fabric Exterior And Overall Feel

When we sat down on the Bundle Sofa, we thought the neutral-foam felt fairly dense, but soft at the same time. It’s supportive, yet cushiony. It might feel a little firm to you if you were to just press your hand down on the cushion, but it softens up bit when it’s supporting your whole body weight.

Bundle Couch Review lounging
Johnny getting some reading done will comfortably laying on Bundle

Let’s say hypothetically, you get into hot water with your significant other and they say you have to sleep on the couch for a night (hopefully you never have to). Bundle is the type of sofa that you would be able to sleep comfortably on throughout the whole night. You don’t fall into the cushion too much, but it’s not so firm where you’re sitting directly on top of it either.

If you’re familiar with Dacron, it feels a little on the bumpy side when you run your hands across it, so it’s nothing like a microfiber or leather couch. But it’s not uncomfortable by any means, and it’s definitely worth it if it’s going to repel spills like no couch we’ve ever tested before.

Price And Discounts

As we were writing this review, Bundle actually dropped the sofa’s price by a few hundred dollars. As of right now, the retail price is just shy of $1,300. We’ve noticed they do run promotions pretty often though, and at the time of this post you can get it for about $1,000.

SizePrice (MSRP)
2 Back x 1 Front$1,299
3 Back x 3 Front$1,299

We definitely wouldn’t classify Bundle as a budget sofa, but it’s also not as expensive as a couch you’d purchase from a retailer like West Elm or even Costco. It’s also $200 cheaper than the comparable sofa from Burrow. So honestly, we think it’s worth it for people who fully expect their sofa to be put through the ringer with juice spills, dirty paw prints, messy S.O’s, etc.

Our Verdict On Bundle

Now let’s review our final thoughts on Bundle. We think it has a simplistic look that’s versatile for any living or family room, plus it’s pretty affordable compared to similar couches on the market, like Burrow. That said, it is usually more expensive than Amazon’s brand Rivet for similar sized sofas (Rivet doesn’t offer free returns by default, though).

And it’s a pretty nice sofa if you’re willing to look passed the somewhat flimsy backboard. So if you’re in a household where things are known to get a little messy and you want a comfortable sofa for an accessible price, we think the Bundle is a good option.

You always have the option to return it for a refund if it doesn’t live up to your standards. Thanks for visiting the loansonline.store!
